nici

I was born on 7.6.1979 in Basel, where I also spent my youth. In 1996 I lived in Auckland (New Zealand) in a boarding school (King's College, Otahuhu) for six months. After finishing secondary school in Basel I moved to Zurich to study Mechanical Engineering at the Federal Institute of Technology (ETH). During the summer of 2003 I completed a twelve week practical internship in the field of Aerodynamics at the DLR (German Aerospace Center) in Braunschweig (Germany).

Beside my studies I like to practice hobbies such as sailing, running, playing piano, and spending time with my friends.

In this project I'm responsible for the design of the chassis of PAC-Car II and its aerodynamic optimisation by means of wind tunnel tests of two 1:2 wind tunnel models and several CFD calculations. In addition I'm manufacturing the wheels for the car out of carbon prepreg.

The PAC-Car II Project was a great opportunity for me to deepen my studies in a practical way and to gain valuable teamwork experience.
