Dominik Isler

 

 

I was born in Baar/ZG on may 5 1980. Before starting with my studies of mechanical engineering at the ETH, I visited the primary school in Unterägeri, the Kantonsschule Zug and the German Gymnasium in Biel where I passed my maturity exams.

In the 3. and 4. term at ETH I was very impressed by the Innovation Project. I tried to look for similar projects for my diploma studies and with the PAC-Car-II project I found the perfect opportunity to work and learn in this practical way.

I enjoy working in a team where I can bring in my own ideas and work together with other people having different backgrounds to reach the same goal.

In the PAC-Car II project I work on the mechanical design which is mainly the steering, the brakes and the transmission. What I do is the "classical" mechanical engineering which unfortunately is given less priority at ETH more and more. Due to the lack of lectures about mechanical design I even visited lectures at the technical college in Rapperswil.
