26.06.2006, 12 am: Another World Record!

 

PAC-Car II could beat his own world record in the sunday race and set the mark to 5385 km with hydrogen equivalent to 1 l of gasoline!

 

25.06.2005, 4 pm: 5134km/l - World Record!

 

The first race with the radial tires in Ladoux made it possible: PAC-Car II wins the overall world record!

Five minutes before the race there were still some raindrops, but during the race the track was dry and there was not too much wind - perfect conditions for PAC-Car II!

25.06.2005, 7 am: PAC-Car II ready

 

Even though it is raining in the morning the weatherforecast is good for today.

Due to the new time planing of the organizers a race with the standard tires is planned at 11 am and one with the radial tires at 4 pm.

24.06.2005, 2 pm: Horrible thunderstorm over Ladoux

 

Five minutes before the first qualification lap (PAC-Car II is allready on the starting line!) a horrible thunderstorm suprises the whole Shell Eco-Marathon.

PAC-Car II can be brouht into the starting house in the last seconds.

Many tents and race devices are destroyed and only with big luck nobody has been injured.

All further activities of Shell Eco-Marathon on Friday are cancelled.

24.06.2005, 11 am: PAC-Car II does first trials

 

Both drivers can use the time in the morning to do ten test laps each. PAC-Car II is ready for the race.

24.06.2005, 7 am: PAC-Car team in Ladoux.

 

The team arrived on Thursday evening in Ladoux and is one of the first teams on the spot in Ladoux on Friday morning.
